We have taken the difficult decision to postpone all non-essential visits to the home as a precautionary measure, in response to the coronavirus, COVID-19 outbreak. We will review the situation regularly and keep everyone updated.
We can confirm we have no symptoms of concern or confirmed cases of COVID-19 at this time. However, we have taken this action to prevent the potential exposure of COVID-19 to the people that live here. Our residents are among the most susceptible to becoming seriously ill from the virus, and we want to do all we can to prevent the infection from reaching our home. Our priority is, and always will be, the health, safety and wellbeing of our residents, and that of our staff members. We hope you understand that this decision has not been taken lightly, and forms part of our overall risk assessment for the control of an infectious outbreak at our service. We will still allow visits from medical professionals as and when people need medical assistance, or in an emergency.
We are working hard to promote contact with loved ones and have at this time have not close the home to these visits , if at the point we make the decision to introduce this we will work with loved ones to support contact and review ways in which we are able to provide this via other methods that are available to keep our residents connected with family members and friends. We hope that the overall positive response to our decision will be welcomed with several relatives urging us to take this action to protect the health and welfare of their loved one.
Please be reassured that we are currently taking every necessary step to keep our residents and staff members safe, comfortable and happy, including maintaining our health, safety and hygiene procedures. We would like to take this opportunity to thank our wonderful staff for their support and devotion to the people entrusted in our care.
